The new experimental Solo project of the trumpeter Dominik Fuss.
In his fourth and most experimental album, Austrian trumpeter Dominik Fuss delves deeply into electronics, skillfully blending contemporary music with improvisation to create novel sonic landscapes. Over the course of a year, works for trumpet/guitar/electronics and film were composed and produced in collaboration with Austrian director and video artist Melanie Hollaus and German electronic musician and guitarist Martin Siewert, culminating in this recording. The result is the album VOID. Void is the philosophical concept of manifested nothingness. The concept of emptiness is also relevant to several areas of metaphysics. Cosmic voids contain a unique mixture of galaxies and matter, revealing new aspects of how galaxies form and evolve on a large scale. In addition to compositions by Dominik Fuss, commissions were awarded to the two Austrian composers Viola Falb and Christof Ressi to explore further aspects and sonic dimensions.
